The Bored Net Group appreciates all support, including financial contributions. This helps offset annual expenses like our domain name and insurance policy, and occasional expenses like food and water at events. Our Constitution states that should the amount we have on hand be sufficient to cover expected expenses, we will direct money to the purchase of handheld radios for new hams associated with school amateur radio clubs. At the beginning of each year we will post on this site a statement of how much was donated and where it was spent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to stress that no donation or contribution is expected or necessary to take part in any of our events, ever, except events where a ticket purchase may be required (no events of this type are currently planned). But do not forget…the primary supporters of the BORED Net are all those hams who check in to the morning net…over 500 hams have checked in over 50,000 times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our 5 Board Members, the “Bored Board”, each contribute annual dues to the Bored Net Group, as well as contributing in other ways, financially and otherwise. In addition, Associate Members are all those who make financial contributions either directly or with a Patreon subscription (see below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important-we are not a 501(c)(3) charity, and donations are therefore not tax deductible. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any additional costs of maintaining this site, insurance and other events not covered by dues and contributions are usually paid by Keith Elliott, W6KME, and the other Bored Board members. If you would like to help offset those costs, there are two ways. One is Patreon<\/strong>, where you can subscribe and automatically make a monthly donation ($1 is the most common choice). Our Patreon account is through W6KME (The Bored Net Group President).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
