The Third Annual Ham Radio µExpo to be held on October 3, 2026, 10 am to 5 pm!

This is in collaboration with the Cal State Channel Islands Amateur Radio Interest Group, and will be held on the CSUCI campus in Aliso Plaza, the same location as the previous events. Our first two years were a complete blast. Admission is FREE, anyone who wants to set up a table or booth can do so FREE, the speakers are FREE, it’s amazing.

Highlighting the µExpo will be the ARRL Santa Barbara Section annual meeting, where members can discuss important matters, share updates, and collaborate on future initiatives. This comprehensive gathering will serve as a platform for hobbyists to connect, learn, and contribute to the amateur radio community.

THE ATTENDEES ARE THE ATTRACTION. The purpose of an Expo is to give everybody a chance to show off their hobby. Bring a table and a pop-up canopy. Set up with your club, or set up in the grassy Micro Field Day area if you wish. Bring an HF radio and antenna! we have room to operate! It’s the same day as the California QSO party, so the bands will be active.

Parking is $6 per vehicle all day. See the maps below for the best recommendation for parking. The campus will have all of its food services open all day as well.

We have a special call sign for the event, K6E. Anyone operating during the event can use this call. Submit your log to Keith W6KME after the event and he will take care of LOTW and QRZ submissions.

For talking into the event, we will use the PVARC Simulcast system at 144.895 (positive offset, 88.5) and 449.660 (minus, 88.5). Both are channel 10 on their respective ACS channel lists for each band. On campus, we will be using 145.555 simplex, channel 15 on the ACS 2m frequency list.

If you have things to unload, you can unload at the Expo site at Aliso Plaza, then park afterward.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION There is a limited amount of parking available for people with limited mobility. Come directly to the Expo site, and call Keith at (805) 208-5655, or find Keith, Chuck or Martin on 145.555, the simplex frequency we will be monitoring. We will get you parked adjacent to the site.

The following maps show the same site in several different scales, starting with a large area overview. Use GPS coordinates 34.16185, -119.04516 to navigate to the loading/unloading area.
