The Third Annual Bored Net μExpo is on Saturday, October 3 this year, in the same place on the campus of Cal State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What is it? Ventura County’s only annual event for ALL hams, All clubs, ALL curious people, everybody. Clubs and hams from up and down the Santa Barbara Section, as well as the Los Angeles area, are invited to come and show off the parts of the hobby that they enjoy. POTA, SOTA, EmComms, clubs, satellites, Campus clubs, anything related to Ham Radio will be there. EVERYONE is guaranteed space for an exhibit of their own, and everyone is encouraged to bring something. That’s the nature of an Expo…the attendees ARE the exhibits.
We’ll also have a lecture hall for speakers (contact W6KME at keith@w6kme.org if you have a presentation you’d like to give.) We’ll end the day with the ARRL Santa Barbara Section annual meeting, which will be open to ALL hams, not just League members.
You can also bring your portable radios and set up and operate. We’ll even have a special call sign to attract more QSOs.
And the best part? Admission is free. Exhibition space is free. Parking is $6 per vehicle. Terrific food is available on campus as well.
Vendors, if you are interested in attending or having a ham radio-related display, that is also free. Contact W6KME at keith@w6kme.org.
Maps will be posted to this site in time for the event.
See you there!
